With the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine finally restoring service to read only mode, it's about time things felt normal again. Let's get back to our regular scheduled programming and shed more light on a data breach & ransomware attack that launched last week on the Japanese electronics manufacturer Casio.
The Underground ransomware gang stole 200GB worth of legal documents, employee personal & payroll information, NDAs, patents, financial documents, projects, and other confidential files from Casio and demanded ransomware payment to not disclose this data.
Casio did not pay the ransom, so now all this data is up for sale, but we're not supposed to talk about that 🤫
In what might be the weirdest request from a corporation hosting a public cybersecurity incident page, the Company has asked to not share this information.

Please refrain from spreading this information through social media, etc., as it could increase the damage caused by the leak of information on this case, violate the privacy of those affected, have serious effects on their lives and businesses, and encourage crime.
